are there any foods that are toxic to chickens?

my bird typically eats whatever im eating (vegan) but i get a little scared sometimes because i dont know if there are any foods they shouldnt have. is there anything they should not eat?

Chicken need a VEGETARIAN diet. Plants and bugs.

Search Google. For one thing chickens cannot have Tomatoes, tomatoe leaves, citrus, onion, garlic, ginger.

Pasta, of any kind, is empty carbs. There is no nutrition in that food for them. Think of it like feeding a human only soda and chips. They get no good nutrients and it trashes their body.

If you want to feed any kind of cooked grain I recommend quinoa (and similar ancient grains) mixed with Kale, lettuce (not iceberg), or other leafy greens..

Oh and another toxic item is mushrooms.
And never feed her hot peppers, you could kill her.

Chickens are omnivores. They can eat meat and veggies. I prefer a vegetarian style for my girls, totally up to you! But whatever you do NO AVACODOS! good luck!

Citrus is toxic to chickens as well as green potatoes. Limit their treats and feed a protein rich chicken feed. Flock Raiser Is excellent while providing oyster shell in a separate container.

Cabbage is toxic ? Pasta trashes their bodies ??

Where in the world are you getting this from ? People hang whole cabbages on a string to entertain their chickens !! And pasta is useless for people but it won’t harm them .
