Here is my female and male Rouens in the first pic. Leonard is just starting to get his colors back from his eclipse phase. The others were a few months ago when he was fully dressed and handsome.

How can you tell from those pictures?

I am seriously doubting my initial impressions of my duck/drakes of what is what. Too young for drake feathers...and the quack noise has me totally confused.

Each eclipse they will get more mature looking

To me, they look like they are Rouen mixes so I don't know how the feathers will look once they finish their molt. But the coloring should fill in a bit. I'm sure he will be so very handsome and a wonderful addition to your flock. Congratulations!
