Females are red as the name implies and males are white with red leakage.Their eggs are darker than what I thought isa browns where so I didn’t think so. Red sex link it is? How do you tell male and female
Red sex links are the result of a gold(red) based cock over silver based hens.. ..resulting chicks are colored according to sex "sex linked"....females hatch reddish and feather red with varying amounts if white; males hatch white/yellow and feather in white with touches of red on the wingbows. Various commercial producers have developed specific lines of parent stock to use in their crosses for red sex links snd assigned proprietary names to them like isa brown, Lohman brown, cinnamon queen, golden comet, red star, etc.....all are red sex links based on the basic "recipe" but each is the result of a specific breeding programTheir eggs are darker than what I thought isa browns where so I didn’t think so.
