Hey all :frow

Made a drive out to distant TSC specifically for Prairie Bluebell Eggers. I called first thing in the morning to confirm they had them. Upon arrival no one there knew what chicks were what, and told me the only person that knew the breeds was the store manager that wasn't there. I tried my best to sort out the other breeds and came down to these four. My next post will include the photo's of the four that I ended up with. Do you think these are PBE's or something else entirely??

I hate that they can't tell what chicks are what breed :he why even mention they have specific breeds when you show up and they can't even tell whats what?
They were at least nice about the situation and charged me $1 each.

I have one blue one and one black one, but I can’t remember what they looked like as chicks - so I’m really no help. They lay very light blue eggs, but definitely blue and are rather sleek looking chickens. They are also terrible escape artists and I find them free ranging all too often given our horrible eagle problem. I do seem to remember that there was quite a variety of chick colors.

I bought them in hopes of getting those pretty blue eggs. I have some BO's, Sapphire Gems, EE (hoping she lays green), and now what is hopefully :fl Prairie Bluebells. And if I can get my hands on some Marans I would love those as well. I'm trying to get a nice egg color mix

I’m curious to know the outcome of this. I have 9 week old chicks who looked identical to these when I first got them. I’ve been wondering the same, are they really Prairie Bluebells? Not that it matters, I’ll be satisfied with whatever color egg they lay.
