Could be birds from outside flying in, squirrels, mice or rats. But not possible for that many chickens to eat 50 lbs overnight.

Now, on a serious note. I have 35 adult hens and a peahen and they go through less than 150lbs. a month. And you are sure you actually put the whold 50 lbs. in there..or did you mean to say 5 lbs....
