I thought our house was located in the perfect area, in the city without being across that line that would prohibit chickens, techniquely we're in the township where it's ok.
BUT, wasn't I surprised when I learned there is only about 5 neighborhoods city wide that outlaw it?
Only one area says no Roos, the rest... I think it depends on if you have complaints, and then they can only get you for noise or chicken tresspass into neighbors yards.
