Are you preparing for not-so-good-times ahead

That's what cracks me up about the people on the Preppers show. Ummmmm hello buddy, now EVERYONE knows you have all this stuff. Where do you think they're gonna show up first?

I have watched most of the episodes of Doomsday Preppers. You may notice that many of the participants in the show are making money from prepping.

One lady was selling pandemic preparedness kits. The guy who shot his thumb off on one episode is selling preparedness supplies. Several of the participants have YouTube channels, and those channels generate advertising revenue for those people.

They are on TV because they want to sell something. Most of them are not really worried about the Earth's poles shifting, the economic collapse of the United States, or whatever. And some people just enjoy prepping as a hobby, and they like meeting other preppers and sharing information. Some of the people are just nuts.

I am prepared! stocked up on TP at costco

For women that is probably more important than having ammunition.

Heck NO! I got lady bits and I already listed them in order of importance: booze, ammo, TP. If you want to start playin' boys against girls, I can break out the discussion on Menses cups.....

If you all think the preppers show is hilarious - then you'll LOVE the new one. Doomsday Bunkers. Watched it last night - this guy paid $450,000 for an underground bunker for his family to live in.

Well, whether the poo ever actually hits the fan or not, it never hurts to be stocked up on supplies and prepare ourselves for lean times. If things are going poorly for you, that will pass. If things are going well for you, that, too, may pass. Never hurts to be prepared either way.

It's better to have something and not need it, than to need it and not have it. And it's also good to have enough to share with those less fortunate, and it is my goal not only to help ourselves but also have enough to help others. None of us is in this alone.

doesn't matter where you live, an AK is about 400$ before conversion.. about 1500 after full auto conversion....... if you are handy...... 400 for the gun, about 289 for a bump fire stock. So for less than 700$ ANYBODY in american can shoot 700 rounds per minute...
It is illegial in our state to have any high powered or military gun (AK's and machines). It would be nice picking off predators with that type of gun!

I wouldn't do that if I were you. It will cost a lot more money and time. $150,000 fine and Ten in a federal prison.

True, full auto weapons are available and legal but expensive. There is a Federal tax stamp involved($200.00), transfer fees from the Class 3 dealer, fingerprint and pictures.. Or you can do it on a trust and avoid the fingerprints and photos and state approval... Then you have to wait 6 months minimum before your stamp is issued.. Ask me how I know..lol

I look at preparedness as insurance.. I hope to never need it but I'll be glad I have it if needed..
I am an Admin on a preparedness forum based in Md and they are great folks. I've met no one shady or that I didn't like. We have local meets and do campouts and hiking to test gear and just get together.. See my sig line.
