Are you pro-icing, or against?

I remember a few years ago when I was at my friend Randy's house, and we were decorating a cake for my little bros b-day. Mom gave us each a big can of frosting, and one of those little spray cans of frosting each, and by the time we were done with that cake, there was almost 6 INCHES OF FROSTING on that cake.... Happy times! My older sister refused to come within a foot of the sugar-caked confection. That is what happens when you give the duties of cake-decorating to a pair of 11 year old gals.
ICING+FROSTING ROCK!!!!!

Sounds like a pretty even split. Well that's not helpful! I was hoping for a majority rule, on my side of course.

We'll see if any have yet to put in their views.

I can open up a can of icing, get a spoon, and eat it just like that. Love icing! Now on some cakes though I don't like quite as much on, but as a general rule, the more icing the better.

Ditto!

However Im not a bread eater anyway, so I do require a THIN layer of icing to get the cake down.....I only like the kind you buy yourself, I think it's Betty Crocker and Philsbury brands.
I don't like the fluffy bakery kind much at all and usually the cake that it's on isnt worth eating anyway. I can't stand gobs of icing coz it tastes like what it truly is - grease and sugar

Oooooohhh! I've got a killer recipe for a Chocolate Sheet cake (restaurant recipe that I snagged years ago before I quit) that's TDF!!! I'm usually not a cake OR frosting person but the cake is super duper moist and the frosting is unique and not thick. It's one of those recipes where I can't decide which part is better...the cake itself or the frosting!
