The long skinny droopy feathers right above the tail. The other sapphire gems don’t have that. I thought that’s what saddle feathers were ?That's a pullet.
I have no idea what feathers you're talking about and not sure why you'd think that's an indication of a male.
Versus :Here’s a picture of another sapphire gems back. It does look different, so that’s what I’m pointing out
I know sapphire gems are like mutts right ? The verbiage of the question was incorrect. I meant like do some of them just have skinnier feathers back thereI'm not seeing any saddle feathers.
And why didn't you just ask if it had saddle feathers coming in?
I would of been able to look a lot closer without feeling cringy.
I always do haha . I’ve been a regular on here since my birds were itty bitties. I had a run in with something that killed a bunch of them as little chicks . Been uptight since. Those aren't saddle feathers. A 7 week old male wouldn't even have them yet anyways.
That bird looks all pullet to me.
I think you're just worrying yourself.
If it starts looking like this.... start worryingI always do haha . I’ve been a regular on here since my birds were itty bitties. I had a run in with something that killed a bunch of them as little chicks . Been uptight since.
I notice EVERY little thing, and pulling out my phone and opening this app is WAY too easy.
