Take a look at my 7 week old sapphire gem “pullet”

Are their feathers typically skinny like this around their booty ?

That's a pullet.
I have no idea what feathers you're talking about and not sure why you'd think that's an indication of a male.
The long skinny droopy feathers right above the tail. The other sapphire gems don’t have that. I thought that’s what saddle feathers were ? 😳

Here’s a picture of another sapphire gems back. It does look different, so that’s what I’m pointing out

I'm not seeing any saddle feathers.
And why didn't you just ask if it had saddle feathers coming in?
I would of been able to look a lot closer without feeling cringy.

I know sapphire gems are like mutts right ? The verbiage of the question was incorrect. I meant like do some of them just have skinnier feathers back there😂

All three of my sapphire gems are different shades of grey and have differences in their feather shape, so I’ve been like side eyeing them. I’ve heard of ghost barring too, so I was like maybe one is a cockerel ? But if they are all pullets great . I heard they were good layers.

Those aren't saddle feathers. A 7 week old male wouldn't even have them yet anyways.
That bird looks all pullet to me.
I think you're just worrying yourself.
I always do haha . I’ve been a regular on here since my birds were itty bitties. I had a run in with something that killed a bunch of them as little chicks . Been uptight since.

I notice EVERY little thing, and pulling out my phone and opening this app is WAY too easy.

If it starts looking like this.... start worrying
