My only concern is my one muscovy hen is sitting on 20 eggs due in about 20 days. I think a newly hatched duckling would be a tasty treat for a cat. Muscovies are good moms but how can anyone keep an eye and protect 20 babies? The only other outbuilding I have is attached to my dog run. I think she would even feel less safe with 3 150lb dogs tromping around her babies. hmmm its a dilemma.

You must be a cat magnet! I wonder if you showed the 2 cats to each other, they would recognize the other if they came from the same place? I am a huge cat lover and have several myself, but sheesh! Enough is enough! I have faith that you will do your best to take care of them and find them good loving homes. Until then, enjoy the cuteness overload you must be suffering from!

I truely feel for you 2 cats and all those babies.
My best guess would be they were likely dropped off together, bet them kittens warmed right up to you right?
if so they hadn't been born out there.
I wish I was closer I would pick up both moms and litters , I have people waiting for kittens and all mine are spayed but 1, 9 month oldish and is knocked up higher than a kite, but those kittens have homes and more people are waiting for kittens.( she was someones dump off also). I am still trying to catch the big black and white male that arrived around the same time she did.
I feel for you I truely do,
Is there any way you can contain the scovie with the eggs untill momma cat and kittens can find new homes?
Maybe a make shift pen of sorts, I know its unfair to the duck to be penned while a strangers cat well basically takes over her home turf, but it will be safer for the ducklings when they hatch.

Unusual like their mamma??? Around where I live there are quiet a few female orange kitties.. My best friend had two in high school. I used to have one when I was young.. And my orange kitty had a sister his same color.. But I got the male cause it was cheaper for me to get him fixed..

Good luck placing your little kitties.. And good job.. Im glad she was able to find a caring person to let her have her babies indoors. At least the momma didnt run into a house where she would have been thrown right back out..​

That's what I thought. I grew up on a dairy farm and we always had female orange cats.

I really hope the best for you and the little ones. it sounds like you have your handsful land then some

Same here??? Always have seen female orange cats. Now a male calico would be quite a different story!

Female orange cats are unusual but not to the same extent as a male calico. Orange cats tend to be born in a 5-1 basis. 5 male orange cats for every 1 female orange cat. I
I know alot of people would say just leave them out there but I have a few problems with that besides my muscovies.
1-I don't want barn cats. I have my house cats which I am committed to and pay for vet care. If I had barn cats it would break my heart if one was injured or sick and needed help and I wouldn't financially be able to afford et care.
2- If I am going to try to find homes for these kitties wouldn't they be better off in here getting used to kids and dogs and houses and litter boxes?
3- These kittens were barely walking and toddling over my feet and meowing. Seems to me like they are used to people.

I just don't know if I could possibly find homes for so many kitties. I will post them on pet finder but who knows, I will do my best
