Arizona Chickens

I go to All Creatures at 40th St and Greenway. Dr. Bob and Dr. Ingram are great! Dr. Ingram prescribed Panacur (fenbendazole) suspension. Has anyone ever used it? He felt it was safer than Valbazen. Thanks for the suggestion, I will keep that in mind if I can't find a med I need.

I have never used it on chickens, but often on dogs and cats. It is regarded as a very safe and very effective dewormer for most intestinal parasites. I'm not doubting the word of a DVM, but it is my understanding that Panacur is not effective against the most common tapeworms. We always dispense a different dewormer if tapeworms are involved. Might want to doublecheck just to be safe.

I am now unsure if I should treat with the Panacur or go with something else.

Where did you purchase the Valbazen? I know that Tatum Pharmacy can get it if I need it. How much do you use on your gals? My gals range from 2 lbs to 4.8 lbs. What is the withdrawal period for eggs?

Did you save this lid from your tote? Just cut out a large rectangle from it and bolt the screen to it. No more missing peepers!

That is precisely my plan!

I know, really!

And what am I going to tell the welding student who is building it?

So Mikey - if I need help while building my incubator, can I ask you my (probably) ridiculous questions? I am electronically & mechanically challenged...so be forewarned.

If it's built from wood, I got it covered...anything else, not so much. Lights - no way, heat - no way, thermostat - HAHAHAH...oh yeah - no way.
