Yes, but a similar surgery on a human probably would be about $45,000.

Dude, I'd totally pay $45,000 to have person or persons-not to be mentioned here-'decrowed'. Is that possible? Hmmmmmm...

So, my FBCM, the one that I suspect is an internal layer, is the same. Not any worse. BUT, she has diarrhea and it looks like egg white. I don't suppose THAT'S a good sign. *sigh* On another note, one of my Ameraucanas ate a rubberband today. I tried to catch her to get it away, but she gobbled it right up, I was helpless. I hope it doesn't hurt her.

i have 3 coops, all painted different colors, but only because that is what was left over from painting the kids' bedrooms

so my choices were yellow, blue, lavender, green. the layer coop is painted yellow and i got out some stencils and let the twins paint flowers on the outside. the growout pen(baby coop) is lavender because i used up all the yellow and the NEW FANTABULOSO SILKIE COOP is currently half white and half unpainted wood. must finish that and soon. the chicken area is on the side of my house where it cannot be seen really unless you walk over there. i like it, but if someone doesn't, they can turn around and find the door.

Lavender sounds fun!
I painted the field the color of my house...sort of a milk chocolate. Then I am painting the trim an aqua blue. I wanted some bright yellows, magenta and orange....but it ended up looking more like an eyesore...LOL....
Im thinking the aqua trim and the chocolate will be just fine. :)

Most of my paint choices were Oops paint as well! You cant beat $1-5. I did end up purchasing a quart though because it just was the right color. :)

That stinks. It's never easy to put an animal down. I'll bet your chickens and turkeys appreciate the freedom from the two bullies though. I hope it brings new harmony to your flock.

So my son and his friend came over to modify the roof to my Never-Ending-Coop (how many of you have a coop that has been built and rebuilt beaucoup times?) Son's friend is convinced that they need to install gun-turrets on the roof.

Pray tell, what would my birds be aiming at?

I went in for an ultrasound today, and everything looks good. Heartrate was around 136, which is perfect for this point in the pregnancy, and it looks like the bleed is going away on its own. And....the doctor at the ultrasound place said she thinks its possible that I'm having twins. Its too early too tell right now, since there is only one sac, and if there are two they are very close together, so I'll find out for sure in a couple weeks. Twins! Eeek!
