Arizona Chickens

Peepers update:

Blinky seems a bit better. Not good yet by a long shot but better.

She actually held her eye open for a few seconds after we drained it and Vetricide'd it today.

Still looks very gross

but hopefully she'll keep getting better.

Her fellow peepers spent the day in the tractor, they loved it. I found a patch of tall grass to set it in and they got bunches of fresh produce with which to play keep away.

BTW - peepers & cluckers do not like dem small peppers!

Zuchini & banana squash are however awesome. I gave some to Blinky and Princess too. I sprinkled some grit on it for them as they did not get to play outside with the rest of 'em.

The peepers did not go for the corn on the cob but the cluckers picked several clean!

Spring break this week for us so I'm going to get to check out Pastry's chickies tomorrow.

I got the 2 wheeled time machine running about an hour ago so she'll get her first ride in many, many moons on the way!

Did you get the tank (and other parts) replaced?

Here are pictures of mine, minus the fairy on the front. Suzuki Volusia (for sale $4000 after DH paints the fender again then $4900) Poor thing hasn't been ridden since 2010 due to my anxiety issues. She's a beauty though.

Cheers all, Bill

Hi Bill,

Glad to see you back. Hope all is well with you?

southerndesert, it's great to see you back! I installed adblock (it's free) on my computer and I don't get any advertisements. I turned adblock off once to see what everyone else was seeing and I was surprised at how cluttered it all looks. I think I might be less inclined to come here if I had to experience it that way too.

Mama Hen Chris, nice pics. The vintage pics of AZ chickens are doubly cool. I love that glimpse into the past. Do you have any idea what the darker colored birds might be?

Yes, finally!

I needed a tank and a fuel filter and while that doesn't sound like a big deal the new filters are over $400! (fuel filter is over four hundred dollars!)

I got what I thought was a pump and filter off of ebay, but it turned out to be a retrofit for an external pump. Luckily it had the filter with it so I swapped it out to the old pump and put it and the tank on the bike last night. It too has not been ridden in a long time so the battery was way down. I charged it and rode it to dad's house and got temporarily stranded there last night.

I've had the battery on a charger all night so hopefully will not get stranded at Pastry's house today!

Your bike is very sharp! I'd love to get it for Tammy but the 4K is not in the cards. That and she's never ridden before and should be taught on something way smaller/lighter.

Welcome back Bill!

I've got the 2 wheeler roll'n again - we should plan a BYC bike ride & crash board members houses!
