Arizona Chickens

So now one of my Ameraucanas is going broody!

I kicked her off her nest, and took her egg. She's not fertile, as I have no rooster.

She made her dinosaur noise and pecked me. You're right, Pastrymama, it didn't hurt that bad. Where do you all put your broodys if you are letting them sit. If I put some fertile eggs under her and put her in a large dog crate, is that ok. Maybe I'll just keep throwing her off her nest. If I do that, will she stop. I kicked her off once today, but she went right back on. Suggestions? Anyone needs eggs hatched?

Thanks All for the warm welcome back and I'll be checking in more often since things have slowed down some here.

All the birds are well and getting 18 to 25 eggs a day right now...

Ruby is semi broody on and off, and hilarious when she plays evil raptor, but still laying as we kick her off the nest daily.

The Polish and her friend from Phoenix are laying well and both lay robin blue eggs.

Our hatchlings are grown and should be laying any day.

That is about it other than the garden is also doing well.

Also have two roos that need a home or it's off to the stew pot so pm me if you want one, they look like this and are mutts

Ok, I figured out the "mystery" Broody is EATING HER EGGS! I caught her in the act. She now has three eggs. What do I do? My Ameraucana isn't acting broody anymore, so I can't stick them under her. Help!!!!
