Just an update for Cheerfulheart and anyone else interested in how kevin the chick is doing....Kevin is doing great and hanging in there with no further issues. She has her good days and her sideways days but she is lively and seems perfectly goofy. She eats and drinks great and was jumping at a moth buzzing around the heat lamp last night right along side of the other chicks.

I had seen photos of someone's coop they built and now I can't find it. It was someone from here in AZ. The coop was 3-sided, painted blue, and opened to a chain-link dog run. Who's is that and can someone give me the link to the photos? I'm trying to explain to DH, DS, and Other DS what I want built and that is similar. Thanks!

Hello all I am looking for true americanas or aruacanas (sp??). I really want blue eggs... Does anyone in Az sell eggs to hatch? I bought some araucanas?? EE and they are now 20 weeks old so I should know soon if they will lay blue, green, brown, pink or any other color, but after reading all the post with people being disappointed about not getting blue eggs I am getting worried that neither will I. If anyone in Az sells the eggs I would love to be able to buy some. I just can't see my husband letting me pay $20 + for shipping on eggs that I don't really need. Thanks

2 of the five have just come out of molt and their eggs are blue like those below. The other girls are laying a very pale blue right now, but the pullet chicks should lay eggs that blue.

DD thinks that our hen may be leaning toward broodiness. If she is, she is getting as many of these eggs as I can squeeze under her!

Mahonri - I have 2 cream colored eggs. For the life of me, I can't remember who you said laid those. One is regular sized and the other is tiny. Can you refresh my memory?

The rest - 5 GCMs, 13 W/BWA, 7 FBCM, 7 Welsummers, 2 Del/GCM, 2 Polish/BWA, and the 2 cream colored eggs (edited to list them) they are Cinnamon Queen/GCM and SFaverolle/BWA

Assuming I get some hens out of this deal, when they grow up, they will all have a WA rooster over them and should produce olive layers.

gckiddhouse: The small one is from the BWA X Salmon Faverolle, the other one is from the GCM X Cinammon Queen. I thought they'd make nice designer chicks.
Like I said the chick that came out of her last egg that I incubated was HUGE!

Also your Delaware eggs are under the GCMarans so they will lay DARK if they are pullets.
