Arizona Chickens

I was just writing something, and I was hit by a pick up. Just getting out of the hospital. I'm Ok, my car not so. Police do not know much. They got the info from the truck. They (firemen insisted I go to get checked out.

I want to get home and check on my girls.

holy cow i hope you are really ok, looking down typing, then hit by a truck?! at least it didnt take the emergency crew as long as the tow truck to find you! please keep us informed and take care of yourself.

LadyKotaDoria: so sorry about your BAD LUCK. So glad you are alive to tell the tale.

The police do not know who the driver was, truck has plates, but no registration, the two people that was at the truck, said they were not driving and were just picked up by the driver and his girlfriend. They were very drunk. So it dose not look good.

I was off as fare as I could, emergency breaks, dome light on, flashers on, parking lights on, driving lights off, set belt still on. I had been there for about an hr when I texted a message, I was typing when I was hit, I do not remember typing "accident". I was very nervous, night on I-17, not good at all. I had been looking every few sec. In my mirror, habit. Then I saw the lights, OH! ****! ....... I tried relax but found I couldn't, I was afraid I would be rolled, I wasn't, air bag did not discharge. I stayed in the car, was afraid I would be hit again, a very likely scenario. As the pick up can to a stop, my tow truck arrived. If he had gotten there a minute earlier he would have been part of it, if if if if....... If means nothing. This is IS.

Will I got home past mid-night, I'm over drawn at the bank, a car in the shop, and in a hit and run.......... But my girls look good. They were in their coop. My dog is a registered service dog and I was able to keep him with me. He is not a curdler, but when I am sick or stressed he is right there for me. He wanted to be next to me, so he was on my bed tight to my leg. He road up front with the EMTs, so the first thing he wanted to do is smell my breath. We were separated for the cat scan, apparently we was upset that I was gone. Now, I have to wait for tomorrow, call my insurance and see what is next.
:idunno.

REALLY! I wrote what I told AAA, all was said to 911 was "5 miles south if Black Canyon City, southbound on I-17", they found us. As it turned out, I texted my sister to fallow up for me with AAA. They did not have me on the books, I had talked to one person over 25 minutes, lost connection, called again, she said I would put me down as priority. My sister told them to send a squad car to me, they didn't. One had stopped earlier, but not after I texted her asking to fallow up. :somad AAA let me down for t he first time. I w as there way to long.

Water is never used up; it is merely dirtied up and passed along. The real challenge is to clean it up and re use it.
I do not remember saying that water was "used up " I said it is wasted "by not being cleaned after the manufacturing process fouls it." The corporate powers want to tax up even more to clean the water they fouled as if they are not gleaning enough profit from ordinary workers. Plus throughout the world impoverished peoples do not have wells to access water.

LadyKotaDoria I feel for you as my income is the limited amount of SS plus I have had many MVC and drive a 22 year old pickup that wants a new clutch.

LadyKotaDoria Do mention the problem with AAA when you notify your insurance company. Did the truck driver see the hit, can they be a witness for you ?

Did you happen to read the recent article titled Worms Produce Another Kind of Gold for Farmers from Dr. Mercola regarding the red worms and their ultimate benefits to saving the world's topsoil. They are some amazing creatures. You mentioning corporate powers and impoverished countries reminded me about it. It's something we've discussed in several of the threads here, but bears mentioning again.

Depending on where you live, I'd offer my help with replacing your clutch. I have the tools and the manual labor. You can find replacement clutches for fairly inexpensive. It's a bit time consuming, and that's where the huge expense always is with the mechanic shops. I'm not a certified mechanic or anything, but I do absolutely all my own work. I've replaced three motors over the years and replaced the same amount of clutches. My '98 4Runner has over 328k miles on it and is running as strong as ever. I know it's considered "rude" to ask an age, so I'll just assume being on SS, you have reached your retirement age. I would much prefer that thought as opposed to you were ruled disabled from an accident or anything. Helping out like this is the least I can do to assist with the generation that built America and saw it through some of the roughest times in our history. PM me if you're interested. My Dad is excellent at hunting down the best deals for parts, too. He works at Peoria Ford and has something like 30 years of experience in the car service industry.
