I don't know. The EMTS were there is about 2 minutes, between the tow truck driver and the fireman, I was pertly shaken. I am very sure the trucker did not see it. The pick up would have been in his blind spot. I am a little tired, my girls are going to breakfast a little late.

Depending on where you live, I'd offer my help with replacing your clutch. I have the tools and the manual labor. You can find replacement clutches for fairly inexpensive. It's a bit time consuming, and that's where the huge expense always is with the mechanic shops. I'm not a certified mechanic or anything, but I do absolutely all my own work. I've replaced three motors over the years and replaced the same amount of clutches. My '98 4Runner has over 328k miles on it and is running as strong as ever. I know it's considered "rude" to ask an age, so I'll just assume being on SS, you have reached your retirement age. I would much prefer that thought as opposed to you were ruled disabled from an accident or anything. Helping out like this is the least I can do to assist with the generation that built America and saw it through some of the roughest times in our history. PM me if you're interested. My Dad is excellent at hunting down the best deals for parts, too. He works at Peoria Ford and has something like 30 years of experience in the car service industry.
If only everyone in America reached out like this, we would all have the help we needed by helping each other and not need to rely on the government so much. You're awesome!

I am a strong believer in "interdependence", not dependence. That is the way (at lest when I was working as a fisherman) among boat people. We were there for each other. IE: I stayed home one day, that evening, I think every neighbor stopped to see if I was OK. I went to work just before sun rise, home by 1/2 hr after dark at the latest, 7 days a week. Because my car hadn't moved.

Kota, I am sorry about your accident and hope you will feel better soon. I sure wouldn't mention you were texting while driving to any insurance or you may hurt your case.

she was actually not driving but texting while sitting on the side of the road waiting (too long) for a tow truck.

i must add: texting and driving is silly and dangerous. i know a girl who after just a few weeks of getting her license rear ended a car because she was texting. i keep my phone in my pocket on silent so i am not even tempted while driving. if anyone does text and drive and get in an accident i hope they fess up, its the right thing to do.

i am sick to death of being sick! before i worked in an elementary school i rarely even got the sniffles. now i have had the flu twice this year ALREADY. and so has a girl i work with. i thought you could only get it once so was shocked and unhappy. i dont have it now thankfully. but i have a sore throat and earache and i feel the sinus congestion coming on :( and i just got over being sick about 10 days ago. ugh....
it looks like it should be a nice day to clean the coop and chicken yard. they have shredded paper all over the place since they were digging deep to stay warm this past week. the brats...
