Arizona Chickens

So Mama Hen, seems Duckie could have stayed at my house. Someone dropped off 3 crested ducklings at my house this afternoon

She is a photographer and was done with her "live props" and remembered I had ducks and figured I would want more! She tried very hard to sneak in a bunny too, but I shooed it off. Let's see how long it takes the fireman to notice the ducklings.

won't he be pleased.

However, I could just say that they are for the children. One of my muscovies has been flying the coop the past few days LITERALLY. Clipped wing and all. They were hysterical yesterday thinking a hawk had gotten her, but no, she just flew off. Took off again today. She is gone for hours. Think I will put her on a kite string tomorrow.

I guess Duckie could have gone back home. Sounds like your house is a "safe house". You will have little baskets of fluffies waiting at your doorstep.

The fireman probably won't notice if he hasn't gone outside to start their duck yard. The duckies will be full grown by then!!! They just flew in like your muscovy flying in and out. Wonder where she is going? Any neighbors complaining yet? Silly girl. Maybe has a boyfriend on the other side.

I have two Buff Orpinton pullets at POL for sale and a roo. I live in Miami but will be commuting to Queen Creek area the next few weeks to help my daughter after her back surgery on Tues and could bring them down.

They are not show quality but should be good layers for a back yard flock. I anticipate them to lay their first eggs in the next couple weeks as they are getting very red. Please PM me here as I don't always see follows up to my posts in a timely fashion.

Has just had my suspicions confirmed. My Partridge Silkie is a roo. I heard "her" crowing away this morning. Very cute but its still a roo. I told hubby months ago that I thought she was a roo and he told me no no no......

BBQ and ale, what could be better. Maybe I'll host a Tucson gathering and meet some local chicken peeps.

I just finished mashing the grains on an IPA. I tossed about a pounds worth into the run. The girls are going apey over it.

How could you turn down a
bun.gif
? They are adorable, cute and fun. And QUIET. Even quieter than muscovies. It would, however, drive your beagle nuts!
