Arizona Chickens

Kev'schickadees has some EE eggs in the incubator that should be hatching out in a couple weeks.
 

Thanks for the link - It certainly makes sense. Of course, as novices, we have already done all the wrong things before reading this.
I took her off the nest and put her in the yard. She ran back to the nest. My husband removed the whole nest box because one of our other girls
was trying to get into it. There was an egg from one of the girls in the nest (but not from the autralorp) My husband
took the egg out and when He walked to put the empty nest box back, the australorp ran after him squawking like I've never
seen her do before. The EE who was waiting for the nest box made it there first. The Australorp went back into the
box after the EE and we got three eggs for three chickens today. I have no idea why it took her so long to lay or
what was up with the crazy "attitude". They always keep me on my toes. All's good on the home front tonight.
