Arizona Chickens

I'll be heading down there to enter at around 8, I'm dragging BellLisaMo with me if she likes it or not. You can't miss us we're twins you know. I'm 6'0 and Blonde hair blue eyes and more than a bit fluffy, she's 5'2, 100 pounds soaking wet, brown hair and hazel eyes.

Oh, I'm sorry. I think the worst part of chicken raising is the mortality rates of chicks. I try so hard not to get attached until they are older because you never know whos going to turn around and be healthy one second and gone the next.
 
aww, poor little thing.
Ours are still doing pretty good. They found the little roost I made for them in the brooder and were all lined up like a little chorus line when I checked on them this morning.
 
I put a small piece of bamboo in with them but they haven't discovered it. Have you put yours outside for playtime? Its nice and warm out so i put a plastic crate upside down over them, part sun, part in the shade with their water. They like pecking for their food in the grass. They discovered some ants as well. My friend is going to tucson tomorrow so i may ask her to get me a replacement.
 
I so enjoy reading every ones posts.

Today is the day I go buy my chickens. Hope to find some with feathers not fuzz. All though those little ones are fun, I hope to identify the hens and maybe have less loss if I get them a tad older.
