I make home made mayo, but have never used vinegar, just olive oil and lemon juice. Comes out greenish from the olive oil, but I make it for taste, not looks!
not yet. I got some beautiful eggs from @ChuskaMtns today (shout out girly, it was nice to meet you, sorry I couldn't chat more, work was rough today!) They are golden cuckoo marans, English orpingtons and I forgot the other two. What were they? I am getting a couple more eggs from another guy tomorrow, Buff laced polish (squeeee, my dream chicken) so I will set everything tomorrow after I get the polish eggs. I got the turner in and filled up the water channels to bump the humidity, it was real low. We shall see where it sits later tonight and tomorrow as I had rocks in there last time I checked the temp, so I have to see where the temp goes now that I took out the rocks. (yeah, i know rocks?! they were holding the wire.) I am nervous to the MAX and I haven't even started!@houdiniduck have you set egg's??
Any time! Just let me know.I wish I would of got some quail egg's from you for the New Years Eve party ths evening...
They were a huge hit last year..![]()
Bookman's is one of my favorite places!Never mind, see that you're in Mesa. I do get into Mesa a lot these days if you want me to drop them off. I tend to go to Bookmans and/or The Fiber Factory on W. Main and somehow end up blowing most of my day between the 2.
Remember, even if the top of your moringa freezes it will come back from the roots once it warms up. So don't throw it out if it does freeze! Just make sure you got enough mulch over the pot so the roots don't freeze. Moringa doesn't grow in winter, it just exists, but once the temps go up there is no stopping a moringa tree! They grow super fast in the heat!Agh, you reminded me of my moringa from @Sill .. Just ran out and it is fine..![]()
The other from @Gallo del Cielo we will have to wait and see.. In order to transport from Tucson, it was cut to fit into my car. Hope it made it from last night freeze.. It was under a tree with running water.. No pipe's bursting here. Had them all on a trickle..
. Now that our van is done I will be able to put more plant's or chickens...![]()
Am I out of the loop yet again?
thanks she was the chicken i got when i got back into chickens,i had a large flock when i was little at my grandparents house but when they moved the birds got integrated into my great grandfathers flock, when my grandparents got me banshee they only got her, and my grandma said if it turned out to be a rooster it would be food she was very loud all by herself. then i got polly from their neighbor and a few months later i got the rest (minus blackbeard who i got a few months after that) from my great grandfather prettygirl is the descendant of one of my hens from the past and i let my sister name the silkie hens.. i chose to spell them differently...I like the name banshee.
@Sill What do these moringas look like and do you have any available? I take it the chickens like it? I am looking for plant ideas for in the run, I would like to make it prettier than bare dirt for them, but I don't know what to put in there that they wont just destroy.
