Has anyone got any chicks from The Hay Company on Haws and Elliot? I have been seeing their adds on Craigs List and I have been thinking of getting a few more chicks or pullets to add to my flock and they are super close to me.

The one over by san tan mall? Haven't bought chicks there, but I will NEVER buy hay from them again. They told me it was high quality, but it was absolutely full of red root amaranth. Made my horse cough like nobodies business and he got an infection from one of the thorns lodging in his throat. They also gave me a hard time about returning it and getting my money back. I seriously considered going after them for vet costs.

I would love one! I can't get up to globe till the end of may though. Would you be able to hold one for me?
 
Yeah, I'll let you know when they hatch. I need an excuse to go to Phoenix during a weekday before 4:30 (dept of education office hours-need new certification). Will PM you when they hatch.

Well that is unfortunate.I hope your horse is ok now and it never hurts to see what kind of responsibility they will take. Even partial would show good faith and maybe think twice before they put that on the market again.

He is great! To my knowledge, they have still not gotten rid of the amaranth out of the fields. I wouldn't go to them for anything at this point, but perhaps others have had better experiences with them than I have.
 
I have a few extra chicks and ducklings for sale if anyone is interested. The chicks are naked necks, 1 1/2 weeks old. The ducklings hatched yesterday, runner ducks. Will accept reasonable offers for price.




Edit: I need to make a trip into Phoenix sometime, so if anyone in the valley is interested in them, I can arrange to meet you someplace when I go in to get my new teacher certification.
