Arizona Chickens

The babies are hatching! The babies are hatching!! :weee I awoke this morning to the first hatchling. Mom was a Dorking-mix and Dad was an Ameraucana/White Rock mix. I'm already betting cockerel on this one, but only time will tell. So far half of the remaining eggs have pipped, but none have begun to unzip. The remaining half are wiggling and rolling around, so I'm really hopeful that this will be a good hatch. :fl
Yay!!! So fun!

Thanks! Missed this, but I've added it to my calendar for next month. Birds, bun, & my pups will appreciate the goodies. So will my budget!

Thank you for letting us know... did anyone go?
What was available?
My husband went down there, but could not figure out where to park...
So he came back empty handed..... ;(

Not yet. There are still 3 pipped eggs in the brooder, two of which are beginning to unzip, and a 4th egg showing no activity. I'm guessing that egg #4 is a dud.

So far I have 8 lively little chicks - 5 are Silver Grey Dorkings and 3 are from my own flock, 1 of which is a very sizable little NN chick.
