Speaking of roosters, I went out to the garage earlier today to check on the brats, and that long-tailed RIR crowed three times while I stood there in horror. These weren't squeaky little crows...they were HEFTY. I haven't heard anything from the other big one with the slightly shorter tail, but it has even bigger wattles and comb. They both have some black feathering and also some silver streaks in amongst their feathers.
I know the third one is a hen because it's a puny little thing with a tiny comb and stubby tail.
Those two big ones have to go because I can't keep them in the city. If anyone is interested, they can have them for
FREE. They appear to be in good health and fed very well, and had probiotics in their water since they were a few days old.
I just don't know what to do right now.
