They're looking great! Already 5 weeks, jeeze I feel like you got them just a week ago. They grow so fast :love

Speaking of roosters, I went out to the garage earlier today to check on the brats, and that long-tailed RIR crowed three times while I stood there in horror. These weren't squeaky little crows...they were HEFTY. I haven't heard anything from the other big one with the slightly shorter tail, but it has even bigger wattles and comb. They both have some black feathering and also some silver streaks in amongst their feathers.

I know the third one is a hen because it's a puny little thing with a tiny comb and stubby tail.

Those two big ones have to go because I can't keep them in the city. If anyone is interested, they can have them for FREE. They appear to be in good health and fed very well, and had probiotics in their water since they were a few days old.

I just don't know what to do right now. :barnie

Sounds like it's time for a nice chicken dinner :)

Anyone here ever raised wyandottes? I never see them for sale at the feed store and rarely hear people talk about them. I've got a silver laced gal, Eve, and she is the loudest creature I have ever owned! She's louder than the mastiff! She honks, squawks, beeps and hollers all over the run, and this is not just her egg song. I had no idea this breed was so loud...or is it just mine? Lol either way I think it's so funny :gig
This Wyandotte also has the hots for the rake. I can barely get my chores finished with her in there, and she gets extra loud when Mr. Rake comes to visit  She was so shy as a pullet, it is so endearing to see that she has turned into the loudest thing on the mountain.

Well yall saying goodbye I made the mistake of posting my pics in the pic forum and this 10,000 plus poster replied and I thought she was rude and I told her very calmly I thought she was rude and she must of complained bc some moderator decided to take out the fact I said that in my post so apparently you can't tell someone they are rude it's not like I was aggressive

Anyhow obviously it was a mistake to post somewhere besides the AZ thread yall have been cool and wish you all the best
They will probably delete that thread bc I edited it and ranted and called them cry babies... they might edit this too sigh that's why I stay out of social medias
@SonoranChick thanks for your words there

I have gotten beat up before because I gave an alternative to killing predators. Now I will only PM the OP if I want to say something.
Caveman does not kill anything. I do not need to start arguments.

@meetthebubus You stay right here with us and let that 10,000 plus rude poster post rudely in other forums. We've got your back! I almost never go out of the AZ forum just because not everybody "gets" me or my hunka-hunka chicken love! Don't leave please - then the other person wins.
I've posted in several other forums and was kindly told to start my own threads. They weren't very warm receptions.

There have been a lot of issues shared here not necessarily chicken related, and the support has been great. For some reason, those other forums are not as friendly.

We do have lives outside of our beloved chickens, and it doesn't hurt to vent on occasion. Thank you, Forum!
