Thanks I'll bring her in tomorrow to do that I dabbed natural honey on it tonight but didnt want to do much while outside... man so many bad things happening right now I'm pulled in all directions

@Geranium - really - never, never heard that before. Does it work with chickens too since the vent is both? Gotta do some looking on that one.
@meetthebubus - the one and only that I had to do I followed the chicken chick's instructions by using hemorrhoid cream and pushing it back in. I found I needed to push what I thought was too far but it worked and the cream seemed to help the swelling and pain. I did not have gloves then, now I do and I'd use them - although you can always wash hands. Hope that helps!
@BlueBaby Yep they get extra protein mixed with their usual. I often use unmedicated chick starter as its really high in protein. AND if needed they get the extra eggs, etc. shells and all usually hard boiled but sometimes I'm crazy and scrabble them.

Another thing, mama hen and baby are chest bumping.... I guess signs that they are separating and becoming flock mates.... Or mama is giving baby lessons for "the real world"

Thanks @FeatherPugs I don't have prep h and the road to town is flooded and impassable for now so I used a new sandwich baggie as a glove bc I ran out lol *sigh*

Cheetah has prolapse! any ideas? I'm gonna research it more I think that's what Mohawkie died of but I caught cheetahs.

It's not out a lot and we tried pushing in after a warm bath some poo came out so that's good but I couldn't get it in and night came I isolated her outside and will try again tomorrow... I think if I remember right I read it's done a little at a time..... ugh!

Maybe you could try what they say to do for that here?

@FeatherPugs I would imagine it would work for chickens. The vent tissue is probably similar to rectal or vaginal tissue. The sugar just helps shrink it enough to get it back in.

Coop finally has a roof! Plywood walls are up, too. Tomorrow I'll attack it with chicken wire and hardware cloth. Husband is going to make a door and a pop door, and then the chicks can move in to their mansion!

Anyone else get soaked last night?? Wow the wind, rain and lightening was insane!

We were in Tucson in the afternoon and got soaked up there, but at my house there was only a light drizzle during the day and a single significant but brief rain shower last night...thankfully. We've had enough rain down here.

Need to watch out for that other storm looming off of the Mexican west coast side. They are predicting it to bring more rain in.
