Yeah, none of my birds would come out of their coops this morning. Apparently "snow" doesn't jive with their self-identification as "desert chickens".

That whole time they were going the the flock wide molt, I was thinking it was an omen of things to come. My chickens are freaking prophets!!!!

So, I guess that is one old wive's tales that has proven to be true, then? :gig A hard molt mean's a bad winter?

Edit: I seen that it's supposed to have rain all day on Sunday, so maybe some will be getting more snow too?

I know, but it look's like winter doesn't want to do what we think that it is supposed to this year... now, you know that they keep trying to tell us that we are having global warming! :smack
 
Hi, all, how's everyone? chick's and chickens are surviving this cold, checked on them this afternoon, only 3 eggs in the past two days, but that is ok.. I can understand the not laying..lol.. Took advantage of the Smith's Grocery case lot sale today, trying to get it all put up now.. Thank You Lord for a large pantry.

What's really annoying is all my friends in Ohio (where I'm from) are bragging about no snow and 50*. I kinda hate them today. ;)
