Hi, I got my first chicks from Tractor Supply there in Kingman, I'm in Golden Valley, I first got 6 chicks (Black Sex-Links) then read that most lose 20 to 30 percent.. so I went back and got 6 more, I ended up with 12 live chickens..lol.. I'm now hatching my own.

Way to go! Good to meet you neighbor. Did they have any of the varieties I mentioned? I will have to call and see when they are coming in.

Just checked Tractor Supply. They are starting chick week the 25th. Will have to check them out.

It was chilly from the wind blowing. At least my animal sitting was done for now. They got back home late last night.

I finally caught the hen in the act that has been laying the real big egg out there. She's a naked neck, but not the one that I was hoping was laying it. I'll have to hatch a few of her egg's too, huh?
