Honda Oddesey...I bet I could get a lot more than one in there. It depends on how good the price is though. Average price = one bale. Really really good price = Atleast 3! lol

I’ve been building an incubator and I believe I got the bugs worked out, or at least I will in time for Mahonri’s New Years Hatch. I only have one problem I can’t solve alone. All my flock are the same age and none are due to start laying till the first week in January. So I am looking for fertilized eggs to try out my new incubator. You can see what it looks like at this link.https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=415632 My incubator will handle 60 eggs but since its my first time I was hoping for 12 to 18 to try it out. I realize beggars can’t be choosy but I prefer breeds that are good layers. My chickens have to earn their keep. I am not picky. I love eggs of all colors. I will eventually need a Silver Laced Wyandotte rooster so if anyone has a couple fertile SLW eggs to spare I would love to have them. I live in Tonopah but I work by Sky Harbor Air Port. So driving to pick up fertile eggs will be no problem. I also know 18 is too much from just one person so would welcome what you can spare. I will need them in time for the December 11th set date. So I am hoping for some laid after the 7th. Thanks.

I do! I do! I have 3 Silver Laced Wyandotte eggs collected today and probably two more in the morning. I've also got some Buff Orpingtons and a mystery egg. But I'm in Casa Grande.

In addition to the eggs i mentioned, I also have a handful of SLW chicks that are 2 to 3 weeks old, if you want to take those off my hands.

WOW, quick responce. That sounds Great! I could set those, have them hatched and still be ready to go again for Mahonri's New Years Hatch. As far as the Chicks go that poses a problem. I would have to pick them up before work (I work from 2:30p.m. til 11:00p.m.) and the babies would have to wait in the car all day. The eggs I could take inside work with me, but I don't know if babies would survive the car. What do you think? PM me how much you want for the eggs. Thanks.

Nuclear Chickens, I've got as many fertilized eggs as you want. But they are going to be mixed breeds, more than likely. If you want BIG white eggs, I believe they are from Silver White Leghorns, but they may be fertilized by a different breed. They are good layers though, at least when purebred.

well shoot, we lost another black astralorp(4 month old pullet) to my beagle yesterday morning. that's the second one he has gotten in the last 3 months. this time she flew over the 6 foot fence. so everyone got their wings clipped yesterday. my poor kids, they love the BAs and the stupid dog seems to like them a little too much as well. what a bummer.

Is anyone here going to the poulty show in Tucson Thanksgiving weekend? I was thinking of bringing my two baby roosters and trying to give them away...do you think that would work? I'm still not sure how to get rid of them..and I'm worried when they'll start crowing.
