Arizona Chickens

@starri33 I'm glad that all 6 of those egg's hatched for you over there. My batch of 25 shipped egg's from out of state arrived about an hour ago. They had been packed very well, and not a one of them was cracked or broken! All of the egg's were marked as to what will hatch out of them, too! ;)
most wonderful , I have fingers crossed that they will be great chicks for you...!!!:thumbsup :highfive::frow

I know it was a little bit early to do the first candling on those shipped egg's, but last night I did. Yesterday was day 3, and I did see a few embryos that were starting to form in the lighter colored egg's of the batch.

Nice that you are back online. We were down in Bisbee, and looked as some places there. Just like Prescott the best, but we were almost neighbors!

Good to hear! I thought you waited to 7 days to candle? Just egg-cited?

Well, I was getting ready to get the automatic turner started because I had not ran that yet. I just had them sitting still in the incubator to settle the air-cell's for those 3 day's. So, I decided to candle them too while I was at it. Seeing the start's of embryo's in some of them gave me hope for these shipped egg's. They had been packed very well in those egg foam thing's. I was impressed!

Do you have any photos of the shipping/packing? I know that lots of folks would like to have successful shipping!

No, I didn't take pictures when they arrived. I did save the box and the other packing material's that were in it. If I ever decide to get shipped egg's again, I will ask the person first if they use those egg foam thing's to ship the egg's in, and if they do not, I will not get them.

That sounds like the way to go. No use to ship eggs that get scrambled!
