Arizona Chickens

Cool!! Thanks for checking! I just peeked under mine and she has white in the belly/butt area, but more of a dark grey (but not black) chest. I'll see how it turns out over another week. I'm planning on having indoor house chickens, so when I realized it wasn't a silkie, I was worried it was a large bird breed that I wouldn't be able to keep inside.
Ran out and took a few shots of mine now (one of them is the only one not showing a red comb)

In this one you can see the one getting the red comb and one of the yellow bantams that’s getting a red comb...

How old are they now? I'm going to bookmark so I can compare when mine hits the same age, but yes, I think mine looks similar! Well this has me hopeful about the size.. i bought an indoor hutch, but it would only be suitable for bantams. I am in the west valley btw. No chickens allowed, which is why I'm going the indoor route.

I do believe they are ~3-4 weeks old (not 100% sure though to be honest)... I bought them after I bought my 6 older standard sized chickens but before my 2 Ameraucana

Oh if I could have a run/outdoor coop, I'd have larger ones too! I love the colored eggs from the ameraucana! So yours are just a tad ahead of mine. My other two are silkies, and this one was the mystery chick!

I was just looking up info on the cochin bantams, a
The 2 tiny black ones are our bantam Cochins... the big black and white ones are Cuckoo Marans... after today’s sprinkles though it’s not looking good for my bantams though... 3 of the 4 are showing bright red combs coming in...
By the way, I've been looking up adult pics of bantam cochin, and the females also have red combs, just as bright as the males, but about half the height. *crossing fingers*

Just had a thought... since my coop is all aluminum... should I put a lightning rod out there? and attach it to the coop and run?

I don't know, but I hope that they will all be ok. Have you asked anyone else that lives over there that has chicken's?

I'm popping in and out for now, because I'm in the middle of some chick's hatching out.

Lightning rods have the function of protecting buildings from catching fire. Lightning will strike your aluminum trailer, and travel on outside of structure to the ground.
Many airplanes are hit by lightning, and are safe. There is a lengthy explanation for that which I have read up on. You are also safe inside your automobile, with all windows rolled up during a thunder storm. Even if your auto would be struck by lightning.
Hope this give you some peace of mind.

Always thought you’re safe in your car because of the rubber tires grounding you... and lightning rods also protect any circuits from shorting out (I.E.: the lights I have out there) by sending the lightning to ground instead of letting it go to the outlet...
