I would imagine if you did not pick up the eggs that often they would be hard boiled by the next morning!
Yes, but if I want hard boiled egg's, I'll do it in the house!

Yep, and I wouldn't doubt it is the same one that is always here. I am not sure if they are territorial or not. I stopped putting bird seed out because it came down and ate some of the poor birds while they were eating from the ground year before last. Now I only put enough for them to eat for a few minutes and then it will run out and they can leave. And ever since I got these dogs last year, it seems to circle my house. I pick the dogs up quickly, and go in, but it is frustrating.
Yea,i had two horned owls nesting last year, when i had my little 6 lb old lady dog rescue. They would hunch forward and watch us. I carried a stick when we were out.Yes, and even your dog's aren't safe from the hawk's.
The only predator that I don't have to worry about around here is the stray dogs. NO stray or loose neighbor's dogs here!Yea,i had two horned owls nesting last year, when i had my little 6 lb old lady dog rescue. They would hunch forward and watch us. I carried a stick when we were out.
It should arrive tomorrow, I'll let you know if it's adequate for for hens in a couple of days. I like your window model, it's renewed my interest in getting one for the house. In our weather, I would not expect it to last the "rated" time! Like some of the little coops that are "rated" for 15 chickens! This is the one we got -- one for our house and one for the guest house. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Frigiki...ler-for-700-sq-ft-with-Motor-BW3004/204700045
It will freeze you out of the room it's in. We turn it to low and it is still like you need an afghan on the couch in the evening when it's still 90 outside, it's 70 inside. With an exaust fan in the bedroom it cools the whole house, 1300 sq ft, well enough for Prescott. Might not be good enough for a whole house where you are, though! Sure is nicer than an AC in AZ, it puts humidity into the air.It should arrive tomorrow, I'll let you know if it's adequate for for hens in a couple of days. Hey guys... I was just reading an article on chicken enrichment.. It recommended suet for treats.. I have a good dozen of those for the outside birds (when they won't melt). Do you think they are safe for chickens???
Oh I always get them at the end of season sales at walmart, about 10 cents a piece! So I probably have 20.. I don't think they will melt in the house, its 78 max in here. But just wasn't sure if they are safe for them.. but I guess if they are for birds, it should work anyhow.I think you could make your own like here, and put it in what they have to catch any of the melted?

I would not give too much, easy for house birds to get fat! A teaspoon as a treat. All of our house pets are in danger of getting too fat -- wild birds fly miles and need the fat!Oh I always get them at the end of season sales at walmart, about 10 cents a piece!
