Arizona Chickens

Figure out the arrangements and we'll make a date!
I am thinking of a NN tractor for these 5 nice girls. Roger could come and "visit" for a few days after they have been incarcerated for a month! Maybe around the "Bad Boyz" son's duck harvest day? Every male in this hatch is destined for the table. Nothing is better than duck!
You would, of course, get some duck to go if you want!

Roger look's to be doing well and pretty content. The hen's back's look to be in good shape also, so he's not over breeding them.
Roger has 12 ladies so I think everyone's pretty happy in the egg layer coop. That's why I still keep 6 Stars and 2 Cukoo Maran and a Welsummer in the other coop with the breeding groups- each rooster has at least 8 ladies that way no one gets too much attention.

We might have to be flexible with the date - I don't want to stress Roger out by catching him with a net. I want to coax him into a transport crate since I've not handled him much - might take me a few days to get him comfortable going inside a crate.

About when is Bad Boyz Day? That will give me a target date for training Roger.

The egg's in my incubator now is from Roger's son Louie, that was put with different hen's then what you have yours from. Roger is the grandpa.

Right, the eggs are different enough to just hatch the ones you want. "Randy" here is happy right now, 8 Barred Holland pullets, 7 mixed layers. The Rocks are his very favorites, they have some feathers missing on the back of their necks. They can handle it, they go over to him and crouch down to get his attention! ;)

About 7 to 8 weeks after Easter. The easy way is to go in and get him off the roost at night. They hardly struggle at all when it is good and dark. Just gently pick him off the roost, and he wakes up in the crate. Randy here comes up and eats out of my hand still like when they were chicks. I have picked him up then, he does not like it, but he lets me. I bet Roger would do the same when he gets to know you. @BlueBaby gives her birds treats in the brooder, they are all pretty tame.

Trying to get me to populate my yard with NN! I think it would be fun to have them, but not right now with all these duck eggs looking like they will all hatch!

The only treat I give them in the brooder is small pieces of bread that I broke up to make it easy for them to swallow at that age. They love it!
