I didn't get any rain here at all as normal. The 4 NN chick's that I moved out to the brooder are all doing good. I was just out there again, and counted all 4 of those head's.

I'm thinking that I have broken the NN broody hen, as I haven't heard her doing the soft broody clucking today. I'll wait to make sure, and might turn her her loose out of the cage tomorrow if all look's good.

My broody hen(s) stopped on Saturday or Sunday my DH said- Yay! I now need to try to get everyone to lay eggs in the nest boxes again. I found a little clutch of 6 eggs hidden one day when the broody(s) kept everyone from the favored nest box.

Yes, those broodies can get pretty cranky sometimes.

It's day 4 for the eggs in the incubator, and I candled them. Out of the 5 Leghorn eggs, 4 show veins starting and one looks clear. With the 3 Dorking eggs, 2 are showing veins and one looks clear.

I'm not sure what you mean. Big Ben has not been with the Dorkings at all. The daddy would have to be one of your roos. And he has been giving his attention to Whisper and Henrietta, but I saw Lacey chase him away the other week.

Yes, one of them does. It's only day 4. I'm leaving the two clear eggs in the incubator in case they might just be slow growers.

Not sure because Louie (NN) was also in there with them too, but was rehomed right before Easter. You'll just have to see what they look like after they hatch if they do.
