Arizona Chickens

I decided to stock up on the chicken feed's for the flock before the prices for them go up again or the shelves empty out of what brand that I wanted. So, I'm getting that done today.
Good idea!

Today I answered an ad on Craigslist. Somebody had a run for sale identical to the one that I have attached to the big coop. I got it, and will use those panels to expand the run so they'll have more room.

Great! I hope that you got a good deal on it!

I did! I got 12 panels, 2 feet wide by 5 feet high. The tarp has a few smallish holes in it, but that's not a big deal. It also has a top, but I will be using sturdy wire fencing across the top and won't use it. It was $75 and in nice shape.

About a month ago I got more goodies off Craigslist--four 5 gallon galvanized chicken waterers at $10 each. Also in nice shape, and one of these days I need to figure how to get the tops off so they can be filled. It shouldn't be too hard. Maybe mine are just a bit stubborn.

I went outside and saw this crazy raimbow around the chicken coop this morning. The picture doesn't show it as nice as it was. It looked like there were rays coming from the earth and reaching past the rainbow.

You can see the run to the coop in the bottom of the second pic. It will soon be much bigger. :)

My phone camera didn't do a grat job of catching it. It was stunning. You'll notice the end of the rainbow appears to end on my property, but there was no pot of gold there. Just dirt. :(
Maybe your chicken's already found the pot of gold and dug it up? :gig

I did that last month, but my birds have been eating grasshoppers, other bugs, etc so I still have a lot left.
