Arizona Chickens

That's great! With all of these flock's with the bird flu being suffocated to kill them, the price of egg's in the store are about to sky rocket again like they did back in 2015 when they had that other bird flu before. That's why I got started with my own chicken's, because I didn't want to pay that price for them.
I actually don't even know the price of store eggs...LOL... I went grocery shopping yesterday because I had to pick up an Rx at Safeway and I saw the eggs (but not the price) and laughed to myself thinking "who buys eggs?" - every road I drive has eggs for sale.

I've had someone buy some from me before, but they haven't called to see if I had some more yet this month. My girl's are laying good, and these 4 are the one's that I was trying to sell a couple of month's ago, that no one took me up on my offer. I have 5 Bielefelder pullet's that should soon start laying too, but I'm keeping my Bielefelder's.

I totally get why they're culling but that seems inhumane.
I agree that it's being inhumanly done. I guess when those types of places have that many, being humane is the furthest thing from their mind's. Those people must be desensitized. It make's you wonder if they would even care about other people either.

I was just playing around hunting for stuff again when I can upon this site that list's 6 hatcheries right here in Arizona. If someone is looking for hatchery chick's, it would be best to try to get some local to try to avoid that bird flu that's going around in many of the states right now. Here's the link that I found:

As usual, all the fun stuff is down in the valley. :(

With that bird flu getting closer and closer, I plan to spend the weekend expanding the run and covering it with a thick tarp.

That is cruel.
