Arizona Chickens

I was just playing around hunting for stuff again when I can upon this site that list's 6 hatcheries right here in Arizona. If someone is looking for hatchery chick's, it would be best to try to get some local to try to avoid that bird flu that's going around in many of the states right now. Here's the link that I found:

Well it seems I have three baby roo’s and no way to keep them. I was told when I bought them from Cal Ranch, it was only a 3% chance I’d get a male. Six chicks and three happen to be cockerels :hit :gig:rant:confused: :thwhat bad luck I have lolol. If you buy from the feed store like I did, just remember you’re relying on luck!

Enjoy them while you can if you live in city limits like me and can’t keep roo’s but can keep hens

That's why I decided to go with just doing the Bielefelder's, because the color of the chick at hatch tells you if it's a boy or girl. I'm still growing out those chick's that I hatched myself though, and they haven't started laying egg's yet. I have 11 pullet's and 3 cockerel's to pick from for my future breeding of this breed.

Nice! I wanted friendly and cuddly chicks for my daughter’s first go. The boys are sweet as pie with us but lawdy, they see each other and it’s insta sparring… in their brooder box they behave but when we put them out to play, their maleness comes out

I got three Buff Orpington and three RIR.

Two of my RIR you cannot miss them being little boys with their prominent cones that are already turning red :hmm
Well, good luck with being able to rehome the boy's. Most people don't want them, so don't try to price them too high. Keep in mind that with this economy, they might end up as a Sunday dinner.

I just accidentally sold some eggs - my next door neighbor is having an garage sale (lots of traffic because she is known for her tomato plant sale coming up in May) so some of her customers came this way looking for eggs (really being sold by our neighbor across the road). I told them "across the street but that I do have eggs for sale". Our road is so bumpy they probably didn't want to go any further - I told them come back anytime for more.

That's great! With all of these flock's with the bird flu being suffocated to kill them, the price of egg's in the store are about to sky rocket again like they did back in 2015 when they had that other bird flu before. That's why I got started with my own chicken's, because I didn't want to pay that price for them.

My DH decided to go over to a friend's house for beer Friday, so I sent 4 dozen egg's over there with him. My bottom drawer in the fridge had 6 dozen in there, so I needed to clear out some space so I can put more in it. :idunno
