Arizona Chickens

So ok, I didn't wait until 12 noon like I was suppose to. They are in. The ones with the black line's going around them are the ones that are Bielefelder/Naked Neck mixes. The big white ones in the back are the Welsh Harlequin duck egg's. The rest are my pure Bielefelder's from my flock.

Wooohooo!! Baby tiiiimmmeeee !

That would be such a great idea! I know that I was wanting a couple of ducklings but i don't want any males cause... I don't trust male ducks not to do no no things to my chickens LOL ya know? BUT everywhere I look the ducklings are all unsexed and you never know what you're going to get. I mean i could eat them but do i really want to? Plus they are sold as "assorted breed" so you don't even know what you're going to get.. I just wanted two little girls to cuddle and play with dang it.
I was going to suggest call ducks for fun to cuddle and play with...but they don't auto sex and they can fly 😂

Are you sure the rooster would accept the duckling's?
The ducklings wont be with the rooster c: Just the hens. Roobert has to remain in the garage during the day so he gets sunshine and is out and about until bed time. Then back to his roo bed. I am too scared of someone reporting me for him. Luckily so far the neighbors haven't said a word since he is a relatively quiet bird other then ya know schedule purposes. LOL

Since he is starting to show signs of wanting to breed though, we are thinking of trying to place him in with one of our small flocks of three girls. (he tried to mount his sister from the same clutch of eggs and I don't know much about inbreeding in birds but i don't want to take any chances)

Ok, because him being a male he might also try to breed the female duck's too. Also, if you put him with the 3 hen's watch out for overbreeding of the hens by him as the roosters need more girls then just 3. Other wise just separate them again after a couple of days to give the girl's a break from the roosters affections.

Weeeellll you see about those affections....

My EE girls decided they are independent women and don't need a man. My littlest EE kicked his butt all up and down the garage and into the kitchen straight through the whole house. She went after this boy like he had just peed in her coffee. Puffed up huge and kept kicking him then ripping out his feathers. He fought back the same way and pulled out the feathers on her head cause she doesn't even come up to the bottom of his chin when she stands upright completely. But she was relentless. So separated them again. I may not get a chance to get fertilized eggs seeing how the ladies don't like the the man. Even though he did all the right things and offered them treats.

If you are really wanting fertile egg's, there's always getting some from somebody else that has some.
