Arizona Chickens

Someone from the East Valley will pipe up here eventually and tell you the feed stores where chicks can be bought.

Here in Central Phoenix there is Pratt's Pets, The Pet Food Depot, Western Ranchman and The Feed Barn. They always have chicks available.

Also, a bunch of us should have chicks at Easter.

I have had to make TWO emergency to Phoenix this past week and now these come up....the timing is just not working out for me

Good Morning all...

I feel like I have been running and running and running.

I have made two trips to Phoenix but couldn't meet up with anyone. I wish that I could have, I really would love to get more eggs from the Aloha birds or Mahonri or turkeybreeder...you all have eggs that I want. LOL

I am hoping that today will be slower and I will be able to do school with my son......he has been doing most of it with grandma this past week.

Well off to my day....I hope all of your days go well and that mine is slower.

The feed barn in Mesa usually has chicks. I think they come in on Thursdays.

I got some chicks at the feed barn in Mesa last year.

There is also
Higley feed on Williamsfield West of Higley 3091 East Williams Field Road, Gilbert - (480) 988-2419
Aden's Hay Oasis 18206 East Williams Field Road, Gilbert, AZ 85295-6809 (480) 988-5015 ‎

You will probably have to call around to see if they have what you want when you want it.
You could also check Craigslist for local chicks, but that's kind of hit and miss. You don't know what state their chickens are in until you get there.

ok, pics will be uploaded tonight of the new salmons, buttercups, brahmas and EEs. oh, and that silly polish. but what's super exciting to me is that we candled betty brahma's eggs last night(day 10) and we could see chicks MOVING INSIDE THE EGG! i have never had a broody before and never incubated anything so of course never candled an egg, so imagine our surprise when 7 out of 8 of the eggs i stuck under her were like that!
