HOW DID YOU KNOW!!! She started out very sweet, and is indeed sweet most of the time. Great layer of huge eggs. She is not pecky every day and only developed this about a year ago. She is not the queen of the flock. Almost a lap chicken, she is easy to catch, pick up, carry around, and even put in your lap and pet for a while, UNTIL YOU PUT HER DOWN OR WALK AWAY! Stinker sometimes pecks, no, sometimes bites my hand or forearm even after I have given her really good treats! Plus, if she feels she needs more of something after the treats are gone and you are walking away, she will sometimes peck our ankles or calf. I have tried everything: pecking her back with my finger on her head, holding her down, carrying her pinned under my arm backwards, carrying her upside down, holding her down until the queen comes and pecks her, chasing her through the yard, flinging her across the yard (in a safe way, so the wings work), flinging and chasing. So far, the only thing that seems to have a temporary impact is to chase after her like I am going to tear her to bits for 10 or 15 ft. Even though she would make a good meal, she is still sweet a lot of the time, and well, she gets to stay

turkeybreeder,

are these eating turkeys or just having around turkeys? sorry if that's a stupid question, but i know nothing about turkeys except that i eat one every thanksgiving and i have to find one that is not injected with all kinds of junk and is just as is. i get severe migraines from food additives and have been desperately trying to convinve dh to let me raise a few for the big day.
