Baby setting? I could do that, not the granny type, but I can. I'm great with animals, pet setting would be better. Love all animals, with the exception of monkeys, Aps and chimps are ok. Snakes, lizards, fish..... I have no problem handling any animal. Even attack geese. A goose brook a tooth with that karate chop wing.

By the way my car isn't totaled. I haven't seen a body shop yet.

Depending on where you live, I'd offer my help with replacing your clutch. I have the tools and the manual labor. You can find replacement clutches for fairly inexpensive. It's a bit time consuming, and that's where the huge expense always is with the mechanic shops. I'm not a certified mechanic or anything, but I do absolutely all my own work. I've replaced three motors over the years and replaced the same amount of clutches. My '98 4Runner has over 328k miles on it and is running as strong as ever. I know it's considered "rude" to ask an age, so I'll just assume being on SS, you have reached your retirement age. I would much prefer that thought as opposed to you were ruled disabled from an accident or anything. Helping out like this is the least I can do to assist with the generation that built America and saw it through some of the roughest times in our history. PM me if you're interested. My Dad is excellent at hunting down the best deals for parts, too. He works at Peoria Ford and has something like 30 years of experience in the car service industry.

I was left speechless by your offer of mechanical assistance. I would love to have you help my automobiles but I live a long distance away and am in the process of relocating. And yes I am 67 years young and yes I used to raise those little red worms and will bring them back to my routine after I get established in N AZ. Thank you for your offer and will keep the information filed away. BTW I grew up with auto parts in the living room. My father was an auto mechanic and I had two brothers who spent a lot of teen years building and rebuilding engines. Funny !

Welcome to the newbies, congrats on new chicks, sorry to hear about the car accident L and D's little silkie. If I have missed anyone..I apologize.

My silkie is broody and as of tonight she is setting on 2 duck eggs courtesy of Pastrymama. 4 others are under P's duck. Hopefully in 28 days we will have ducklings or a couple days early will be a nice Valentine's Day surprise.


Our wheat grass fodder is 2 weeks old and tried it out on the girls. They were pretty curious but were not too interested at first when served.

Nice! I found that my chickens didn't really like it much past the sprouting stage. After a few months I'm still trying, hoping that they'll develop a taste for the greens, but still little interest. They go absolutely crazy for it just after the sprouting stage though (somewhere between yours on the middle rack-right and top right). I mix BOSS and wheat and if it goes past a week, they spend their time picking out the BOSS. I guess it occupies their time, but I'm still hopeful. I see that Pastrymama has gotten to you too with the ducks.

Gallo: The apricot is a Katy and the plum is a Santa Rosa. Both are on peach rootstock, the apricot is on Myro 29C and the plum is on Nemaguard. We got some fun varieties for the pomegranates, so we have that to look forward to as well. When I was there picking up my trees, there was a student from ASU who was doing some kind of a study on urban fruit trees, I signed up for it, mostly because I'm curious to see the final product. She said she'd be sending out a questionairre in 6 months to collect data on how the trees were doing, as well as where they were planted, and how often they were watered.
