You know it is funny that I get the same question all day..
Do the eggs from different colored eggs taste the same?
What about store bought, do they taste the same?
Do fertile eggs taste different..
I am sure ya all be the same questions..
Plus I am only a newbie, I can't imagine the old trimmers ..

the strangest question i've heard (from quite a few people actually) is "will a hen lay eggs without a rooster around?"
also, my mom works with a girl who absolutely believes she ate rooster eggs while she was visiting Africa. mom kept explaining to her that a rooster cannot lay an egg, but this girl wouldnt believe her

yes alohas are very good egg layers, i have three and they are the only consistent layers in my flock

People are funny ! And some a funny/dumb. I always remind myself that you can not argue with a drunk or some one who is not "reasonable".

That is so true, I want to go to India some day for several months. I want to visit centers of hand loom sarees. Some one close to my family was horrified I would even think of going. He told me I would get eaten by a Tiger, and bit by a cobra. He told be of a 30' cobra that leaped over a jeep and bit 4 people at the same time killing every one . You got to be kidding. I would love to see any snake, any size leap from the ground and any cobra that fast enough to strike 4 times at once in mid-air is worth a fortune, let alone over 15' long. I think only the spitting cobra gets to 15' in the wild on average.

Record holder is a King Cobra in a Zoo, 18'-6", with average max 13' to 13'-6".

Kota, Take a drive one of these days and at least come see all the babies. All but one are sold and it won't be long. Need help to hold and love all 11 of the kids. Be good for them and helps me. That invite is for anyone!

Chuck Norris was bitten by a cobra. After 3 days of excruciating pain, the cobra died.

I have a three month old Aloha reject that I've decided not to keep, she's a nice, healthy little pullet, but I don't like her coloring, and I've decided that when I get chicks, I only keep the ones I like the looks of, otherwise I would want to keep them all
She's sort of a light partridge color, with a lot of random white specks, and should start being an excellent layer of medium sized, light brown eggs in a month or two. I'm asking $15 for her. If no one here wants her, I'm going to put an ad up on Craig's List, but I wanted to give BYC the first crack.

Dang, if you were in Tucson, I would think seriously about this. I originally wanted 4 breeds ( Buff Orpingtons, Barred Rocks, Columbian Wyandottes and Golden Laced Wyandottes), but to get my order in January, I had to settle for the first two only.

Thought I would share a shot of the garden, we use bird netting over PVC or we get nothing here because the darn birds destroy everything. No wind resistance with the netting so 1/2 inch PVC works well for us (unglued) Not as fancy as many but gets the job done for us. Bin in back is compost bin made of plastic pallets and boy do they work well....

Chainlink fence is to keep the pigs and hoards of cottontails out....
