Everyone's posts about new chicks is making me wish I had a bigger coop, but then I think of all the feed cost and I'm just fine the way I've got it.

3new peeps, 2 more to come, one still just peeping, 1 1/3 out but can't full free. If still not out of shekel and alive to arrow I will help to free it. Maybe not ready to come all the way out. The other chick sounds weak. I fear. For him/her, but to help now may not be good. I filled down some of the shell, I hope enough to make it easyer. Humidity seems low 45%, I hope it is enough. I know to high is bad as well as to low.

The roaster is Angle, my avatar, all three come out of blue eggs, I think Flower said they were the Legbars. The two dark brown eggs I think are eather or blue or gray Morans or/and Welsummer. What do you think, see any of there're daddy ?

Hi
big_smile.png
, I live in Prescott Valley, less hot here than down in Phoenix. I originally bought my chicks and raised them from Washington State. I brought them here over the summer and they been doing pretty well. I'm currently going to buy more chicks/chickens in hatcheries. And sorry for that chick that died.
Welcome from another former Washingtonian! I lived in Yakima before moving here 10 years ago.

This is important and this info ought to be mentioned on this thread every day until the final vote. Even if you have legal chickens now, you never know if your circumstances might change and you have to move to a place that doesn't allow them. I would also want my daughter to be able to raise chickens where ever she moves as she goes out on her own. I emailed all the reps but I still want to make the calls today.
