It is!. It is alive!
But ... But.. What is it?![]()
It has a thing on its head... Brown on its wing... Not a chicken![]()
It's a quail
Is that a native Gambel's quail?! I can't tell from the picture.

Quote: That's STILL on! Weeknights, 8pm, MeTV. It's my 9yr old's favorite show. He even renegotiated his whole bedtime/reading routine with me so that he could watch it. He laughs so hard! I guess coconut bombs never go out of style.![]()
That's hilarious! I had no idea it was still on TV. My daughter watched the entire series when she was 9 too! I just read your post to her and she said, "Awwww, that is so cute!"
Those are gorgeous Flower! Irises are my wife's favorite flower. We used to go out to the swamps in Louisiana to find all sorts of interesting colors when we lived there.
I miss the Bayou so much. That's where I'm from.
@Flowers. Your flowers are amazing. My soil here is horrible so that's what is taking all of my attention first. Any suggestions for a yard that was uncared for, for quite a while? Compact dirt but the chickens are helping with that. Hoping to plant Buffalo Grass. I stopped watering what Winter grass grew from seeds I threw last year.

I agree, we have terribly hard dirt! I Always add Gypsum to Everything I've planted for my best results!Oh God, our dirt is terrible here! Caliche is just like cement. If you can throw homemade or bought compost everywhere and let the chickens help work it into the soil that will help. You can also dig it down if you are going to plant veggies or new trees. If you are going to plant new grass that is a perfect time to add compost! In areas where your chickens can't get to you can apply gypsum, just follow the directions on the bag.
