I had to post this. This dog is amazing and when he walks he is so careful not to dislodge his passengers. My dogs would have killed them all by the time the video was over, and this "viscous" pit bull is so gentle with them. It's like he thinks they are his pack.

Are you reading the Louisiana thread? That's funny. I just love Sharkie, and I go to "Texasgirl1979" all the time. Sharkie I think is 6 or 7 yrs now. There are video's go back to when they were baby chicks. He has cats, hamsters and who knows what as play mates. THEY THINK HE IS THERE MOMA HEN [VIDEO]

Camo the chick killer when he was a pup now let's the chicks on his back. I bet their nails dog in. Ouch.

Thanks for all the well wished moving. It is a million degrees and since surgery, I can't handle the heat anymore which they said could happen. I take a lot of breaks but I work hard in between them. I will take some pics of where I live now, the chickens I've kinda inherited and the dogs I tend as soon as the sun goes down.

I have a few questions though if someone could help. There's a chicken here that the owner calls "the feral" that she says just showed up one day. Yesterday she had like 4 eggs under her as well as 4 fake ones that she threw in. She doesn't let the others use the nesting box so they just lay wherever. Should I break her of her bloodiness or?

Also she bought roo's to raise as dog food and there are like 9 of them of various breeds in another area. I need the out building they're in and I'm wondering when she should cull? They're not with the hens because they were a using them I guess. There are a couple Dark Brahma, a BR, a NN and some others I don't know but will post pics of later when it's not so bright.

Can't wait to start this chapter and looking forward to learning more about my little dinosaurettes.

Gorgeous bird's are you going to hatch out some of their chicks ? Please post photos of their eggs..

One is a year old hen and she is laying light green eggs. Not sure what part of her egg cycle she is in but they do change colors. One pullet is in the nest box working on her first egg. Yay!

very very nice. I am interested in eggs when you get some. I have Blue Wheaten and BBS and Buff if your interested in any of those. 

It would be great to do an egg swap in a few months. One pullet is laying her first egg as we speak.

Crates are always available on CL for future reference.

Looks like a Chicken Treehouse to me. Hoist it up in a tree. Make sure to have a rope for climbing up for the eggs and I would to recommend walking under it either.
