You may need to build an ark.

Chandler is at 5" it is not over yet.. I do think whenever it rains the Flock gets some kind of sickness.. But our ducks will have a large pond for a day...

I hope everyone stays safe and off the roads today. It's nasty out there. My DH just called - he finally got to work. It took him 2-1/2 hours to get from west Buckeye to 43rd Ave (normally takes him 35 minutes). I guess the 1-10 is closed between the 101 and the 17 - he says it looks like a lake, with cars floating instead of boats!

My chickens are wishing they were ducks right now. Their whole coop, along with the whole back yard, is flooded. The back porch is still dry(I hope is stays that way) so I'm going to have to put them there and worry about the clean up later. I am not looking forward to mucking out their coop when all this rain is done!

My birds must not be the brightest. Their coop is built up just a few inches off the ground so all is dry although most of the yard is flooded but instead of staying in the coop half of them are standing out in the rain. The funniest was the silkie:

My new side of the world. Put out every bucket I could find and they're all full. I need a water container, I could store all this for my garden dang it.

Stupid chickens are drenched and 5 ft from a covered coop.

I spoke too soon. We are getting hammered by rain today. The big chicken's pen is wet but the Silkies and Cochins are at least half dry.
