Inhabit is a feature-length documentary that offers an intimate look at permaculture people and practices.

In 2013, film makers documented over 20 sites in a range of rural, suburban, and urban environments in the US. They explored a breadth of response to local and global challenges from issues of food, water, and medicine, to governance, economy, and culture.

I have a mystery chick I'm hoping you guys might be able to help me identify. It's supposed to be a Silver Grey Dorking, but most definitely is not. I've never seen anything quite like it. It's 4 weeks old now, and any guesses would be most appreciated.

sounds good its a 50-50 shot at which ones will be lavender and which ones will be black lavender split. I have 2 black/lavender cross hens and 2 roos all from same parents they are the oldest and newly laying my other 4 lavender hens are from a breeder in california and are not laying yet. Its a slow process but im trying to breed quality stock

If anyone might, it would likely be @ ChuskaMtns, here on this Arizona thread! She has good quality heritage orpingtons! :)
Just look above and private message her!

I no longer have Lavender Orpingtons. I gave them up along with the Lavender Cuckoos and Jubilees. Too difficult to maintain the color in those without sacrificing something else. I have BBS, White, Buff, Delaware, Chocolate, Mauve, and Chocolate Cuckoo Orpingtons. The only chicks I have available are a few of the BBS and Delaware, and 1 white, and they're 6 weeks old. Thanks for thinking of me! My parent stock is all Fancy Chick, Ewe Crazy, Old Orchard and Norcal Chickens.

Cool looking whatever it is but looks to be a cross of Sicilian Buttercup and maybe Legbar, Polish, Crevecoeur or Houdan? Definitely has a crested breed in it.

I need help regarding some traumatized chickens. Found two of my chickens out in the yard last night cold, wet and one was bleeding from puncture wounds. Thought the other one was dead but when I picked her up she was still breathing. No blood except for tiny spots where her feathers had been pulled out. Brought them in and wrapped them in towels and then put heated towels over top. They are both alert this morning but the one with the puncture wounds can't stand very well. Gonna clean her up and check for any other wounds but wanted to wait until she was more alert. Any suggestions on what I can give them to help them recover?

A good vitamin + probiotic supplement certainly wouldn't hurt. Optimum nutrition helps anyone's body heal more rapidly.
I hope they both recover quickly and completely.

No idea what this chicken might be, but I love her headgear! Reminds me of a 20's style flapper headdress
