I will do that before I go to bed! Don't want any part of exploding rotten eggs! My husband will never let me have chicks again.Candle them. Spoiled eggs can explode unexpectantly and cause a smelly mess.

The two hatched February 3rd.How many days have they been there? If you check the hatch-a-long thread for last month, you will find that some of the eggs weren't hatching until maybe day 23 on chicken eggs.
Will there be any movement if they are alive?i agree carefully candle them to see if there is any life.
Nice job. I wish I had room for that!here is the new brooder! they are so happy, lots of room for running and flying for the next several weeks until they go out!

I dont think so. She made the nest outside the fence. Only her sister could squeeze under the gate before it was fixed besides her. I only saw her sister go outside the fence once. So I guess it possible.Ok, and was there a chance of anymore eggs that were added later either by you or other hens after those 2 that hatched were put in the nest?
Here are the four eggs.

The first two were definitely "fuller". Sorry for the terminology. Not sure the proper wording. The last two had something, but not to the extent of the first two. I didn't see any movement.
I used one of those big canvas puppy corrals when mine hit about 2 weeks. I found this to be a great option if you can't build or don't have the room for a brooder like @meetthebubus (by the way, nice work! Looks fabulousNice job. I wish I had room for that!
