@cavemanrich yes you're correct, olive oil soaked bread has been part of her diet for the last week or so. Good thing we have the Costco half gallon of oil, or my husband would be wondering where all of his cooking oil has been going...I also did ACV water and Greek yogurt. And fresh oregano.
@Macboat I'm glad she laid an egg, that's got to be a good sign! I'm sure the heat was getting to her. It's rough when the lows are in the 90's and there is no decent relief from this brutal heat. Bringing her in probably helped a lot.

I can't even picture that breed without their little beards! How silly...I bet they look pretty cute.
Several of mine are little peckers and like to pull the back feathers from their friends. Some look pitifully bald on their backs now. It's too hot to try those hen apron protectors and the blue-kote stuff doesn't work. I figure in this heat, they might be at an advantage...I know I would be fine with fewer feathers when it's over 100 out.
I'm sure I've mentioned it before, but of all of my different breeds, the leghorns have the hardest time in the heat, followed by my red star.
