He used to have a lot of fun when people told him that.
So, I'm not the first person who thought that your hubby resembled him, huh?

I just went in to check on the hatching eggs before going off to sleep. There are 2 eggs that the chicks are just now trying to peck their way out; 1 tan egg, and one blue egg. Maybe both of them will be out of the shells by the time I get up?

No, he has had fun with the resemblence, just makes him a little sad now..So, I'm not the first person who thought that your hubby resembled him, huh?
There is definitely some peeping
under Five this am,
but she doesn't want to
move, and I have to go to work
my hubby sometimes will help give treats, that's the most fun as they all line up for their turn always asking for moreOf those 2 eggs that were hatching before I went to sleep, the one from the tan egg died before it made it all of the way out. The one from the blue egg was out and all dried off, so moved it down into the brooder. I checked the other eggs, and no breaks in those eggs yet.
Their sand is constantly in either partial or full shade, so it may get warm, but never hot. I am considering switching over to some sort of deep bedding method in the fall though, simply because I will not have time to go clean poop daily with a newborn. I think with deep bedding I could get away with changing it all out every month or so. If I don't clean poop daily now, it looks like a dirty cat litter box by sunset. And as you said, straw and hay is warmer, so that might be nice for them in the colder months.
