I had a Black Australorp younger hen before that layed one of her eggs in the water pan. I guess some of them do it wherever they are at if it feels good?![]()
That's what I was thinking they were warm from the day and decided to have a water birth

Either that or they were helping themselves relax to pop it out

I noticed today she has been out in the run more, so maybe she decided against going broody again. I will keep an eye on her over the next week and see what happens. I appreciate your offer and know those splash australorps are gorgeous birds.
